20 years in Oil & Gas mainly in senior leadership positons around a globe. Being in charge of various high tech business covered most of upstream applications. Based in energy technology hubs Houston, Stavanger and Aberdeen during time with Schlumberger and Baker Hughes.

Starting his career in Surgut in the Russian well workover company, Vasily spent much of his time at Schlumberger corporation in various countries of the world occupying a wide range of positions: from a field engineer to the general manager of the countries of central and eastern Europe.

Further, Baker Hughes, the commercial director of the Russian branch, the director of the Wireline segment in the CIS countries, the vice president of human resources for the global pressure pumping business segment ($ 6 billion, formerly BJ), led the global business, the Baker Hughes segment of innovative drilling.

Before making the decision to found Upstream Lab in 2017, Vasily worked as the Chief of Technical Operations in the company Targin (JSFC Systema). He was responsible for corporate development strategy including R&D, new product development, M&A, early stage technology investment projects and international development.
